Guitar:
> Play E form and A form bar chords
> Know all names of notes on 5th and 6th strings
> Know all open chord forms
> Can demonstrate an ability to play in time by playing any song they know


Bass:
> Know the names of the notes on the fret board
> Can demonstrate an ability to play in time by playing any song they know


Vocals:
> Sing in tune
> Sing from the diaphragm
> Be outgoing
> Should be prepared to sing rock music and understand that this
NOTE: Camp is geared solely towards current and classic rock, pop, blues and folk music and not soft-pop or country.


Drums:
> Play a "four on the floor" beat with snare on 2 and 4, as well as quarter and eighth notes on high hat
> Play rock beat with kick on 1 and 3 and snare and high hat the same as above
> Be able to fill out of a phrase and land in time
> Can demonstrate an ability to play in time by playing any song they know
*BONUS!! Be able to play a swing shuffle


Keyboards:
> Be able to read simple chord charts
> Can demonstrate an ability to play in time by playing any song they know

Drums and PA system will be available at the school.
All other instruments must be supplied by the student!!


Students not currently enrolled in lessons at the New York School of Music will be required to audition. A $5.00 audition fee is required and is non-refundable. Call the New York School of Music at (845) 778-7594 to set up an audition time.
