Life Skills 2013

This series of classes is designed to prepare teens and young adults with the skills needed to launch a successful working career and independent life.

As we all know, it takes a lot more than what we learn in school to keep up with a job, bills, and the other responsibilities of adult life. We want to help prepare our kids for these responsibilities and ultimately aid them in succeeding at their goals!

Our class times are yet to be determined, but be sure to call the front desk to get your name on the interest list!

Topics will include:

· Applying for a job

· Interviewing effectively

· Developing a good work ethic

· What employers look for

· And much more!

Tuition will be $180 per student, with a $50 deposit due at registration.

Ear Training Class 2013

STARTING January 19th, 2013!!!

Our Conservatory Curriculum Continues!

Next stop: Beginning Ear Training. This class will take music theory and apply it to how we hear the inner workings of music. Learn interval identification, rhythm dictation, and so much more! Get a jump on your college level musical skills in this dynamic class!

Class can be purchased individually for $275 or purchase the whole curriculum (2 years of classes) for only $1,000!

Tribute Bands 2013

Tribute Bands are starting this January!

Pearl Jam? Pink Floyd? Who do you pay tribute to?

Rehearsals begin Friday and Saturday, January 11th and 12th depending on instructor availabilities. Rock Band Class is 6 weeks long with weekly 1 1/2 hour rehearsals here at NYSM. Tuition is $210, but a deposit of $50 can secure your slot. Call us now! Spots are filling up fast! (845) 778-7594

Musik Garten Classes!

NYSM is now offering classes for infants and toddlers! Bring your little one to a Musik Garten class to kick-start their creativity! Musik Garten is a widely recognized program designed to kindle the early development of musical ability in small children. Our Musik Garten certified instructor, Cheri O'Hare is anxious to meet you and your young musician!

Classes will begin September 10th with availabilities on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays in the morning and afternoon depending on age group and registrations. Please call the front desk for details (845) 778-7594

Rock Band Class Fall 2012

It's back to school for all you rock 'n rollers! Sign up as an individual to be placed in a band or sign up your whole band and get some serious work done as a group. Bands will be assigned a coach and rehearsed once a week for six weeks before giving a final concert in our own venue space, The Den.

Rehearsals will be either Friday evenings or Saturday afternoons depending on instructor availability.

Class will run for 6 weeks starting September 14th and 15th

Final Concert is October 20th, 2012

Registration Deadline: September 10th, 2012

$210 per student
