Jennifer Ponzoni (mezzo soprano) studied voice with Angus Godwin and choral conducting with Lawrence Doebler at Ithaca College. She moved back to
the Hudson Valley with her family, and began performing as accompanist for the vocal ensembles at OCCC, under the direction of Stanley Curtis, until
his retirement. During this time she taught a music class for younger children in the Young Saturdays program at OCCC.
She was the Music Director at Faith Reformed Church in South Centerville, NY, for several years, where she led the choir Sunday mornings and
assisted with the Contemporary Service on Saturday evenings. Continuing her vocal studies with Claudia Cummings, Jennifer established herself as
both chorister and soloist for several choirs in the Hudson Valley including Cappella Festiva, the Hudson Valley Bachfest, Camarata/Ulster County
Choral Union, West Point "Messiah", Newburgh Symphonic Chorale, and the Orange County Classic Choral Society. She has performed in several joint
recitals and has been in various productions for Festival Theatre of New York.
Ms.Ponzoni is currently the Alto Section Leader for St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in White Plains and teaches voice and piano at the NY School of Music
in Walden, NY.
